How To Put A Doona Cover On

Is putting bedding on one of the chores that you hate? No idea how to put a doona covers or quilt covers on that isn’t frustrating or exhausting? We understand. Sometimes, it can be a tricky business. But it doesn’t have to be! Putting on a quilt cover doesn’t have to be strenuous or tedious, but simple and easy. We’ve provided two different techniques that make putting it on a breeze!

The “Original” Way

This is the way you probably already know. It is quick and easy, and has sustained as the original way for that reason. Give it a try and see if it’s the right technique for you.

How to fit a quilt cover the “original” way:

1. Turn quilt cover inside out.
2. Find top two corners of cover and take hold.
3. Find corresponding two corners of quilt cover and hold.
4. Hold tight and flip quilt cover.
5. Give it a good shake and fit bottom two corners.
6. Zip/button up cover.

The “California Roll”

This is a much more efficient way to fit a quilt cover, though less known. It may take some practice, but once you’ve got the hang of it, it makes putting a quilt cover on SO much easier!

How to fit a quilt cover the “California Roll” way:

1. Turn quilt cover inside out.
2. Lay it on bed.
3. Lay quilt on top of quilt cover, so all sides and corners correspond and match with each other.
4. Roll quilt from the closed (non zip/button) end.
5. Flip the cover at the end.
6. Button/Zip up cover.
7. Unroll.
